I am not affiliated with the seller, but it seems like a good deal if you’re about to jump into a VANOS job.

Good Deal on Exhaust Hub

agree doesn't seem like a deal to me. You dont need to x-ray to find cracks as dye pen will likely work but even if you did x-ray and there are no cracks it means little as it might initiate in the next week it is put to use. It is caused accumulated fatigue damage.Last edited by digger; 12-19-2021, 05:52 PM.

What seems like forever ago, I fixed my vanos using beisan parts. I pulled it all apart and found both my exhaust hub and disk to be in very good shape; among other things, I bought the redrilled beisan disk and put the old hub back in. Also, at the time, Turbotoy had some sort of a manufacturing defect where all of their hubs failed and they were remanufacturing them to address the said issue. Old M3 Forum consensus was either use your original, undamaged hub or a used one.Just some old shitty cars.

Unfortunately beisan had a major machining flaw with their billet discs which I would avoid completely for people bulletproofing on a budget.2003.5 MT JB/B - CSL SCHRICK SUPERSPRINT EISENMANN JRZ SWIFT MILLWAY APR ENDLESS BBS/SSR DREXLER KMP SACHS RECARO AR SLON MKRS GSP DMG KARBONIUS CP AUTOSOLUTIONS KOYO

Hmm. I have Raj’s old disk which is a redrilled OE unit. I’ve been out of the loop for a bit. Also, not sure on the “budget” but, again, at the time you’d get everything from Beisan (follow the instructions verbatim) with the exception of chain guide (you’d buy OE; wear/tear item - now available from Beisan) and cam bolts (also OE).Last edited by 02_lsb; 12-19-2021, 07:26 PM.Just some old shitty cars.

I had an issue with the inner diameter of the Beisan disc being a too large causing insufficient oil pressure, thus failing a vanos oil test/oil pressure test (40bar vs 100bar).
Raj was very nice about it, he told me the issues with my disc (once returned and analyzed) and refunded not only the money for the disc but my entire purchase, chain guide, seals, pack etc.
It wasn't great to have to take it all apart again but shit happens. I was sent an OE re-drilled disc and everything worked as it should.2004 Silbergrau Metallic 6MT

Tolerances have to be very precise when machining replica parts otherwise shit like this happens. I'm actually surprised that passed any sort of QC.2003.5 MT JB/B - CSL SCHRICK SUPERSPRINT EISENMANN JRZ SWIFT MILLWAY APR ENDLESS BBS/SSR DREXLER KMP SACHS RECARO AR SLON MKRS GSP DMG KARBONIUS CP AUTOSOLUTIONS KOYO
