Vanos accumulator and new oil pipe

    Hi,

Anyone know if I have to remove the undertray to change the vanos accumulator and oil pressure pipe?

    Thanks!

No (assuming you mean reinforcement plate), just belly pan, from memory.

Make sure you got 4 new crush washers.

Yes meant reinforcement plate, couldn't be bothered to deal with 12 new bolts lol

Do you mean this as the belly pan

Washers are for the 2 banjo fittings for the vanos pipe

                Woops!!

I got those already, I was racking my brains wondering why I needed those for an undertray

It is much easier from underneath. From the top you have the headers in the way, from the bottom is very easy. Just the plastic shield, not the reinforcement plate

I first tried attaching the accumulator to the line and fishing it through from the top. That didn't work at all.

Then I installed the accumulator from below and fished the line in the from the top. It lined up nicely. If you clean off the accumulator and rubber sleeve, you can torque it down easily and the mounting clamp will keep it from rotating.
