M-Track Mode

There was an old thread on M3F where a few people posted if they had the LED in the cluster for the M-track mode. For the most part, the clusters with the "S" traction control symbol came before or right as CSL went into production. According to a thread on cslregister, "The first test car is shown as built on 19/9/2002 with the first production car coming off the line on 10/6/2003." The production CSL did not have the "S" symbol, but the concept car did have the earlier cluster with the engine symbol rather than SES, so some of the pre-June cars might have had the "S" symbol. Around the same time as the first test car, the traction control module was upgraded from the MK20 to MK60.

My 2003.5 has the indicator but not the the led. One of my next projects is to add the led, so this is helpful - thank you.Originally posted by Bayern///M3 View PostI’ve had these pics from the old site on my phone for years, shows the addition of the missing LED on non ZCP clusters.
been on my list of “to do’s” maybe it will help someone here also.
edit: not my pictures and not sure who’s they are but I will give credit or remove them upon request.

wait, how'd you get the "S" inside the circle? My ZCP doesn't have that lol. One petty thought I've always had was I wished the dash light was cooler.

In addition to an offer to help through PMs which I greatly appreciate...I was able to find my way through it. While the instructions are not 100% accurate there are hints in this thread that helped. I'm not qualified to rewrite them.

I'm stuck on the same step that lynas was last year. I do not see an “SG/SGET” button on step 16. I'm an Eastern time guy, started running with the NCC at Summit and would love to make progress with this. Any helpers?Originally posted by eacmen View Post
Could be daten file related.

Couldn't see MK60 because the vehicle production date was incorrect. Changed it to what it should have been an MK60 appeared to code to. Steep learning curve haha!Originally posted by eacmen View Post

Just because you can see brake pressures doesnt mean you have mk60. Easiest way to know is if you see the DSC unit in the passenger side “drug bin” then you have an MK20 otherwise its an MK60.

I think it needs to be Tool32, but not certain.Originally posted by TropicalM3 View Post
Thanks for the reply, to tell you the truth, I really don't use the option regularly just wanted to keep the car as original as possible, I'll load up the M-Track mode on it and just keep it at that until I can find the correct part(hopefully), thanks again. I can calibrate the Steering Angle Sensor with INPA right?
