    Re-Fitting my Front Bumper

Hi all: a year and a half ago, I tore one side of my front bumper off backing away from one of our city's patented High-Ass LA Curbs™, and while a local body shop was extremely kind in getting it back on for me very quickly for 20 bucks and a high five, it was a (justifiably) shoddy fix and it just never quite sat right since then. I want to fix that.

I want to take it off, replace all of the clips, seals, foam pieces, whatever else is under there that might be causing sag/fitment gaps, and get it back on properly. Anyone have a full list of parts I would need for doing this kind of "restoration", and/or a favorite youtube video or preserved DIY from the forum of the beforetimes? Bumper is just a stock US spec, build date of Jan 2002, so I think that means Kevlar carrier, if that matters?

Actually, while we're on the topic, wouldn't mind seeing what this process would look like for the rear bumper as well, as there are a couple of gaps that have always looked a bit suspect to me...

Ya you have a Kevlar bar with your builddate.

the front bumper might just be that you need the glides although it’s hard to say without a picture.

for the rear bumper there’s the reinforcement clips that address the sag. There is a thread on this forum about that now (bmw issued a tsb about the rear bumper sag as well back in the day when they introduced those reinforcement clips)
