    Rear strut brace

How useful is this? Is this something you should do if you're getting the rear subframe reinforced? Is it a good stop-gap to help the rear subframe until you can get it reinforced?

I don't know if the subframe on mine has been reinforced or not, so I'm looking at my options. Also dunno if the rod bearings have been done or the VANOS. So, I'm looking into it.

iirc, it's not really useful since the problem with the rear subframe is the floor panel itself (the RACP). There are triangulation braces that tie in the rear shock towers and the RACP mounting studs that go through the floor that does help somewhat (Mason Engineering "GTR" Brace), at the expense of trunk space.

Well the rear uses shocks not struts. A “top” rear shock tower brace by itself should have little to no affect on the RACP mounting breach issue. A version that connects the RACP mounting studs (ties them in) would aid the integrity and help. So something like the Mason X-brace would help the issue, while a basic brace from top of L shock tower to R shock tower won’t.

Look into the VinceBar which is a topside subframe mounting block brace. There are copy cat versions which are also decent. His is the real deal and true innovator for the fix.
