If you don't like the bulky pressure sensor, with car idling measure the 3-pin connector pin2 voltage: is it near 12v or near 0v? If near 12v then just jump pin2 to pin3, and if near 0v then just jump pin2 to pin1, and don't need connect to the sensor.
