After market seats coding for air bag light

I just got done installing a set of recaros from an evo x. I reused the oem belt buckles to retain the pretensioners. Just wondering what I need coded out in order to make the airbag light go off.

Easiest thing to do is install a passenger seat occupancy mat bypass sensor emulator like this one on eBay. Then clear all your codes and should be all set.

Nope just the passenger seat. In the stock setup the passenger airbag will only go off if it senses someone sitting in the seat. The emulator basically tells the airbag system that someone is in the passenger seat all the time. So yes airbags will work; downside is that passenger airbag will go off even if seat is empty.

Appreciate it. I guess the best bet is to not crash

No pads needed. Code off the two codes for the occupancy sensor on the passenger side, done.

The only downside this strategy is the passenger airbag will go off in a crash even if you don’t have a passenger seated at the time.

That looks correct. Reset any codes on the module after.
