Orange warning light, orange "Brake" light

I keep getting these two light intermittently. Sometimes it will come on and after I shut the car down they go out. Sometimes they dont go out at after a single cycle and it will take multiple cycles for them to turn off.

    No codes.

    Any ideas?

Did you check the brake fluid level?

I’m getting a similar thing. I may end up replacing my wheel speed sensors as they are not too expensive for OE.

Ive read about the wheel speed sensors too, but I am also seeing some people say the DSC Pressure switch. I really dont want to throw parts at it bu like you said the wheel speed sensors are cheap.

Brake fluid flush did it for me. There were some dirt in the fluid

If you have access to INPA on a laptop it's the best way to diagnose...It can be multiple culprits causing this. I had a bad brake pressure sensor for this error. It can be a bad steering angle sensor, brake pressure sensor, wheel speed sensor etc...

So INPA will be able to see what's wrong? I have a Schwaben scanner and it didn't see anything. I will have to find someone with INPA.

Did you scan the DSC unit with the schwaben scannner?

Yes as eacmen recommended, you will have to scan the DSC to see the error code. I'm not familiar with the Schwaben scanner, but if it can scan the DSC, it will probably display the error.

I am not sure how to do that. I will look into it and figure it out. Thank you.

Not sure exactly but I think its Control Units->Chassis->ABS/DSC

After 2001 they moved from MK20 units to MK60 DSC units.

$10 on it being a pressure sensor. A very common E46 problem but wheel speed sensor is also highly likely. Hopefully it's a wheel speed sensor.

ok im not sure if this means anything. Also I am pretty sure the front drivers side caliper is sticking. Maybe that has something to do with it.

those pressure sensors go bad over time. they are a pain in the ass to get to though
