    Kassel MAP question

To those running the Kassel MAP sensor adapter and associated wiring could you please describe the route you took to get the wiring to the DME?
I'm out here in the garage looking at different options and am just curious what others have done.
Also a second question, what in the heck is the little allen screw for?
    Thanks

Around the back of the engine next to the main wiring harness, and drilled another hole in the wiring box on the strut tower just below the other two. Then pulled through with the rest of the wires. I can’t remember if the corrugated plastic was long enough or if I had to replace it with more. The real ideal way IMO is to fish it all the way through that little grommet at the back and trim the plastic tubing way down, but you pretty much have to remove the wiring harness for that

I have done exactly that on my car. Not quite as bad as it sounds. Wiring harness is pretty easy to remove one the airbox is out.

Thanks Repo, I'll have to get back out there and look to see what you mean by the the grommet at the back. The strut box seems promising as well, just will have to seal that hole like you have mentioned before.
I also found a body plug that comes out expose maybe 3/8" hole in an advantageous position. But you would still need to find a way to get the wires into the DME using this hole.

Then I also found this little "nub" that if you cut you would be able to string wires right into the DME.

Nice. I expect I’ll end up doing the same at some point. I had it mostly out too but couldn’t get those damn little through hole clips free at the front ..

I used the nub in the second pic for flap power, tubing fits perfectly and you can secure with a zip tie

The nub at the back is the place that later 2004+ cars got the crankcase breather valve plug and real CSLs got the MAP sensor plug.

I've also got this style MAP adapter, anyone forsee any issues running it here?
Doesn't seem like it would get wet in this position and also it puts it much further from the hot engine than the Kassel adapter.
Also it would appear that one of the previous owners got into this line for some reason...I didn't make that cut.

As long as you tap into a good vacuum source it should be fine.
