Changes to nav radio over years

Hey everyone, I am looking to replace my navigation radio due to mine having many pixels out. I have a 2005 and was going to replace it with a part from a 2003. I was wondering if there was any major changes or compromises I would run into from using a radio that’s 2 years older than my car. Any info would be appreciated, thanks.
