    Airconditioning ducting question

On my 2005, the AC works fine. I think. You see, I don't hear or feel any difference when I push the air recirculate button twice...... that is supposed to force air recirculation and increase the efficiency of my AC on the hottest of South Florida days.
In every other car I have owned I hear solenoids move ducting dampers, and the fan force increases.
Is my recirculation circuit not working?

I'm betting this. If so, it will get worse, and it's somewhat of a PITA to replace from the passenger side foot well.

Not my problem. Re read my post. I dont HEAR any difference when the air recirculate button is pushed. Should I? Is this normal for our cars? I all my other cars you could actually hear the solenoid of a ducting flap move to shut off the outside air.

My blower motor works GREAT. That's not an issue. All the speeds work. Top speed blows quite strong.

I am trying to find out if my air recirculation circuit is working. Or not. I cant tell. Do you get any indication at all when you push the air recirculate button twice so the green LED lights up?
One push evidently sets it up so the air will recirculate ONLY if the outside air is polluted/dusty. IDK how that would work with our old tech in our cars.

I thought the air control button was either Auto, Recirculate, or Outside (no LED).

Anyways, I don't actually recall hearing much noise when it switches around but I do remember it making a difference in how it feels.

You should hear a bit of a mechanical noise as the duct moves (easier if the fan is on low). You should also notice a change in the overall fan noise, this time moreso at higher fan speeds.

You might even be able to see something from the engine bay if you remove the microfilter.

The AUC sensor for auto is quite unreliable in my experience so don't rely on that.
