New kit allows you to select spring rates which is a bonus for those familiar with flat ride.

I saw that, but you were always able to spec your spring rates with their basic "school" kit anyway. Not that an OTS Koni should be paired with too stiff of a spring anyways.
Also, you could always have created this "kit" yourself by buying the coilover conversion hardware and spring, then source your own yellow Konis or billys.
