E90 hood vent retrofit??

Has anyone ever retrofitted the e90 m3 hood vents onto an e46 m3 hood. I think it would look pretty sweet. I know there are aftermarket options out there but Ive only herd bad things about their fitment.

When I got my hood resprayed I asked my body shop to add an e9x vent to the passenger side, they initially charged me $500 extra but when they actually tried to do it they said it would take more effort/time (and I'm assuming money) to make it work so I told them to forget it

I've seen it on other cars tho and it looks great, I think one the popular cf companies (vis or seibon) makes a hood with them pre grafted on

they said it would involve aluminum fab/welding, tbh the vibe they gave off was more along the lines of them not wanting to do it so i told them to forget it
