M3 SMG Fuse No 8 Missing in Glovebox

As title mentions, I noticed today while working on wiring up my new Mishimoto electric radiator fan that the fuse for No. 8 (F8) was missing. Per the fuse diagram I found online this is for the SMG and should be a 5 amp--so is Fuse No. 22 (F22). I have F22 installed but found it odd that F8 is missing. My car is indeed an SMG (2005 ZCP w/ SMG). I've had the car for a few years now and no major issues with the SMG (I've grown to like it for trackdays).

Does anyone know if F8 is supposed to be missing? Supposed to be installed? Is this a weird pre vs post 2003.5 car issue where earlier cars had F8 filled but post-2003.5 do not use F8?

Here is the fuse diagram I have been referencing:

My 08/2004 SMG has both factory fuses.

F8 needed for all year models. You should check the SMG computer pin11 on the 52pin connector if it has 12v on the connector side (disconnect form the SMG module) with the key turned on. If it has 12v then someone had bypassed the F8 for some reasons, and if no 12v then insert the fuse and check again at pin11 for 12v. Both F8 and F22 supply the power to the SMG module for double redundancy.
