Its a straightforward task. I have no idea what parts are available today - but a bought a new set of front seals about 4 weeks ago because I did a rebuild and always backfill my reserves.

Did this last year, it's a pretty simple re-build.

For my car on the street, I run ATE SL.6 which I *think* I recall seeing is LV.

Technically yes although I think in most circumstances it won't make that much difference, particularly at non extreme temperatures (cold in particular)

Anybody has a link for rear caliper pistons? I search for SS pistons on Bimmerworld but can’t find rear option.

Rockauto has rear caliper pistons individually or as part of a kit. Can't guarantee they will be SS but can try calling first or always return if not (hint: use PayPal to pay since they cover return shipping). For what it's worth the rebuilt calipers I got from them did have SS pistons.

Unless you are tracking the car with an aggressive pad compound, I would just go with OE piston non-SS for the rear.

What is the reason for using SS piston for the track?

Is there an option for upgraded seals somewhere? After a rebuild and then a couple of track days the calipers start hangup again
