It's something different. I think they look like every other split spoke wheel out there.

I've got 2 sets of ARC8s 17x10s. I might buy one more set. Pretty happy with the lower tire cost!

They’re not that much depending on the wheel. Just got some RGRs in E39 fitment for a hair over $3k. Fitment industries isn’t charging the new MSRP yet

          I agree, but I can't decide why.

I'm glad there are more options whether the market needs it or not.

The new Apex wheel had my attention too.

Those are the only ones I'm eyeing, but it'll then be 8.5" upfront again, which i guess is fine, I have 245s ready to go.

The dished look isnt as good as the flat face csl or ch which was so classic in early 2000s. The dished is more e34/e36/e39 to me. I do like RG-Rs still tho, basically forged csls in 18" at 18-20lbs.

It’s a hard paint color for a wheel. You almost have to have them refinished and immediately apply ceramic protection, then keep ceramic / wax applied after every polish, multiple times per year. And who’s doing all that?! I’m having some Audi wheels in hyper silver refinished now. We’ll see if any of the new spray on ceramic waxes help matters.

For these, I don’t really mind the wheel or the value proposition for lightweight replicas. Sure, they’re not “special” in the sense that a lot of cars will be rocking the same look. If you don’t care about that, I’d say pull the trigger.

How's the quality of bimmerworlds rims?

I don't mind the look. Yes original BMW ZCP/CSL do look better but a 19 inch rims are not ideal for me, our roads here are pretty rough.

Might give a square set of 18x9.5 a go in the grey. Would these fit a stock set up e46 M3?

If I was tracking the car, I'd use 'em, but I dont care for designs where the spokes penetrate the inner rim diameter, and break up the smooth face of the rim.
The E46 M3 is a difficult candidate for 3rd party wheels.

Ugly busy aftermarket replica for an E46. From a distance it looked ok but looking at the inside of the spokes they have some cheesy indent that follows the spoke all the way around the inside. Almost as if they were copying old AC Schnitzer Type 3 wheels that had the removable spoke inserts. I thought it was a reflection but nope. That’s a “step” channel cut into the inside of the spokes. Way to make it their own.

Ya BBS E88s do that, though more gracefully, and Apex is doing that on their new wheels. Reduces weight, but I agree, it's more of a tuner look and why I prob won't end up getting these.

I really like the staggered fitment with 8-8.5" wheel up front for the street. Maybe some of you guys are crazier than I am but I can't drive fast enough or aggressively enough on public roads to get a good 235-245 tire on this car to understeer, especially being quite a bit lighter than stock (track is obviously a different story, I run square 265 200TW on separate wheels). And steering feel is noticeably nicer with a 235 front on my ZCPs vs a 265 on 9.5" wheel.

Anyway if you are curious I can test fit my front RG-Rs when they come in over my 996 brakes to see if there's enough clearance. The E39 spec fitment should be pretty nice on an E46 M3 too if it fits and if my math is right. About the same outside endpoint as a 9.5" ET35 wheel (within a mm) and about 8-9mm more aggressive than a ZCP 9.5" ET27 wheel in the rear.

I remember Ian talking about that. I always planned on running a front spacer anyway, so I wasn't worried about 996 "big red" clearance but yes, please do report back (maybe in your journal?)

For bargain bin wheels Apex is tough to beat. Finish isn't/wasn't superb but the relative lightness and non-offensive appearance works in their favor. I'm over spending 3k to 10k for wheels as much I do love looking at them. Nothing beats a good set of BBS, HRE, CCW, AC Schnitzer, etc.

Should I buy another set of expensive wheels (and I'm sure I will lol) they will be something custom from https://www.instagram.com/ewheelworks/
