Can we just enjoy cars together ? Making it personal and insulting is not very constructive…

All those things can be fixed/replaced. People buying these are likely not afraid of those costs. Plus this car is likely going to just be parked and not driven is my guess.Originally posted by PSUEng View Post
Hmmm.."The vehicle was ordered without a rear lip spoiler or trunk badging..."
I remember when the car came out in 2001, press LSB: 18" wheels, dove grey leather; drove one on the lot. This listing, the manual cloth seats really are the selling point. But with these low mileage examples, aren't there problems due to excessively low miles? Dried seals, and so on? I mean, stuff rots away due to time.

I think they have it priced right on the market.Originally posted by Nate047 View Post
You’d have to be such a fucking dweeb to buy one of these cars for $134k
Of course opinions vary, but I find LSB to be an ugly color. But the highest selling E46 M3 on BAT was 112k + fees for the LSB with 29k miles.
This car is in much better shape with 1/10th of the miles.
Then again I'm not one of those people that think you have to be broke to be an enthusiast, honestly that seems like a "dweeb" mindset to me.

No, the E46 obviously isn’t rare, but a 2700 mile example certainly is, let alone all original. Ahhhh yes, my mistake, I forgot people who have garage queens couldn’t possibly be enthusiasts.Originally posted by oceansize View Post
Dweeb is harsh but.... it is because the owner will not drive a car like this since almost every penny of the car's value is tied to the low mileage aspect. E46's are not rare, at all. Related but off topic a bit, the color combination doesn't make it a better E46 M3. So, generally speaking, it sits in the owner's garage and collects dust. That's cool, but this is an enthusiast first forum.
There is a somewhat rare E46 M3, it's called a CSL. We didn't get it.
CSL? Is that the one many “enthusiasts” say is crap because of the garbage SMG transmission? And the market price can’t be justifiable because you can just build your own with aftermarket parts and a manual swap and it’s instantly better for a fraction of the cost?

I haven’t seen a ZCP with this low of mileage since they were new. Is it really that far-fetched to buy arguably one of the cleanest examples out there considering what remains today? A collector who knows jack shit about the E46? Come on. Maybe, just maybe the person who buys this recognizes the opportunity to own a phenomenal example. It very well could go to a person who has owned several BMWs, probably multiple E46s, and has come to the realization that the E46 checks all the boxes and own it’s time to have the cream of the crop. I’m speaking for myself based my personal experience. I have enjoyed the E46 more than any other M car.
