Am I missing something here, or is this just an anomaly for an 01 in this color combo?

I saw that too and was curious. $20k in Aug of LY, $32k today on a 105k '01. New tires, bumpers painted, vanos overhaul, subframe mounts done, pulleys, filters, fluids, window trim, etc. I'm not a black car guy but that was worth a $12k improvement to somebody. CA loc didn't hurt I'm sure. Immediately made me consider flipping mine. 😁

+1 to the factory cosmoline. Even my old 325i has it.

Didn't know they were still using that. My '92 500E has that all over the engine block. Unsightly even if effective.
