Clunk When Closing Drivers Door - Coupe

i have a clunk noise when closing the drivers door on a coupe. sounds like something is loose. i suspect this is a common issue. what is it?

Not a horribly complicated job to remove the door card and have a look inside?

Window regulator is likely worn out, with the glass closed and the door open, does it seem "loose?"

There is a rubber gasket where the window glass sits in on the window regulator. It can become loose and I’ve even worked on two where it move out. There is a TIS adjustment procedure on the forum to adjust the glass. You get to it through a hole in the door that’s covered up by the door “rub strip”. Of note It takes a torx that’s normal when accessing from the outside. Many make mistake when adjusting from inside taking off door card as then it’s a reverse thread.

thanks for all of the input. this makes sense to me as the possible cause. i will update the forum once i can address the repair.
