Factory alarm going off when unlocking car? Pls help

Hey guys, having this weird issue where my alarm will go off when I unlock the car. Key in the ignition does not turn it off. If I lock the car and unlock it again, the alarm will turn off.

I currently don’t have a motion sensor inside the car, but I haven’t had one for a while and it was never an issue. My aim solo and dashcam are hardwired using fuse tap, and removing those didn’t help. The only other change I’ve made to the electronics is installing an Avin Avant 4..not sure if that would affect the alarm system. Opening and closing the hood and trunk didn’t help. Any ideas or suggestions?

iirc, there was a way to see why the alarm went off? Not entirey sure but I think it was by reading the shadow memory of the GM5 module using INPA.

Try unplugging the hood sensor. But this sounds like the opposite. Hood sensor usually fails and sets off alarm when the car is locked. The siren will also not beep when the car is locked if bad.

I’ll give that a try if I can find my coding laptop. Thanks.

I did try that, and it didn’t help. The car does beep when locked.

Ok it’s not the hood sensor. Not surprised.

So it sound like you have INPA, so read the fault codes in the GM5 module and post them here.

Otherwise you can unplug the siren behind the cabin filter housing and the alarm will stop making noise till you figure this out.

This is what my Schwaben tool read. Interestingly, if I unplug the tilt sensor, the alarm will go off randomly when parked and locked or when I’m driving. I have a spare tilt sensor I’ll swap in, then install a new cabin ultrasonic sensor. If that doesn’t help, I’m gonna see if unplugging the Avin headunit helps. The windows are working fine, so idk what the fuse issue is.
