If you want more noise, you can go with an oversized Sec 2 or an X pipe.

Also, the SS Race is literally the most Honda Civic sounding exhaust you can put on this car. You sure you wanna hear it more?
Got it. Yeah weekend/track car, I like having the sound being almost overwhelming even at the top of third. Call me crazy.

      Resonators are not mufflers.

The muffler dampens the overall sound. Race dampen less than sport, but all dampen across the board.

Resonators cancel certain frequencies. They will help get reid of rasp at certain rpms. At WOT, volume is just as loud, as they are straight through design. The only resonators that quiet, are the ones that are labeled as such.

Cats with act like mufflers, and dampen overall sound (bonus fact).

OP if you want more loud, I suggest unresonated sec 1, unresolved sec 2, El Diablo race muffler. This will be EXTREMELY raspy. To avoid that...

2.5 inch system... SSV1, 2.5 SS sec 1 (catless), 2.5 dual unresolved sec 2, Sorza exhaust (which is 2.5 inches).

Dammit, I was afraid of this...maybe should have ordered "sport" muffler on the GB. Hoping not to be disappointed.

Thanks for the contribution, I might try that setup.

SS Race is wicked awesome. I love it. You won't be disappointed. Sport is too close to stock. My car doesn't sound like a civic..

I think SS Race sounds great at WOT. But stoplight to stoplight, it kind of sounds like a civic at low rpm

the only consistent definition of a muffler seems to be that it's the last part of an exhaust system that alters sound, anything you add before that is considered a resonator

if you look at the "muffler" section of a SS race it's exactly the same piece as the "resonator" used in their oversized sec2

vibrant is a pretty well known exhaust parts company and they market the function of some of their resonators as what some people here would define a muffler to do

as far as sound goes, SS race is sublime at WOT, but awful to live with when you're just driving around town. i can't imagine anyone wanting more volume than what an SS race provides, anything more than that you might as well just straight pipe it.
