E46 M3 Header Install Collector Alignment Question

I've been lurking here for a while and appreciate all of the information you guys have put forth.

I'm installing a set of Status Gruppe headers on my car and wanted some input. After getting the headers hooked to the head and snugged, the forward header collector is resting on the control arm bushing and about 1/2" from where it should be to hook up to the midpipe. It seems the rear header is placed correctly. Should I loosen the nuts for the front flanges, muscle in the midpipe, and re-torque, or return/toss these things? I had these ceramic coated and would like to salvage them if I can, but I'm just done with these types of headaches.

    Thanks for your input.

Doesn't hurt to try. I think there is a decent amount of play at those studs.

      BFP....BIG F8CK1NG PRYBAR!!!

That sucks...I'd make sure you have all of the old header gasket off and the flanges are tight to the head.

I always recommend the Megan Headers. Haven't heard of too many issues.

I've thought about forcing it into place, and everything was surgically clean before I put it together. I'd really like to know from others that have installed headers if they've had these issues and if it's acceptable to have things this out of whack. I'll take some pics when I get a minute.

I was originally going to get Megan/AA, but wanted to have the longer primary sound. I thought I'd give SG a chance. I'd like to see what they say before I start going down the rabbit hole of an alternative.

**I ended up contacting SG and I received a slightly out of spec front header. They were able to send me a replacement and all is well.**
