Lightweight Exhaust Options

Currently have the Bimmerworld race exhaust. Really like the lightweight aspect to it.

Thinking of switching to a more traditional dual exit exhaust but the factory exhaust is heavy AF.

What are the best lightweight dual exit options?

Are there any twin pipe options that use V-band for each section? I really like how easy it was to drop the BW exhaust.

if you can find a set, HPF "exhaust" is just a set of titanium straight pipes

gruppe M and related replicas are light but brittle

if you can find a set, Dixis titanium

SS race is easy enough to get on and off the car


all loud and droney exhausts, not that much of a difference if you're coming from a bw race

Dixis does not drone, and is only loud past 4k RPM. It is the best of all worlds. Only weighs 12 lbs too.

I’m actually considering SS Sport for the same reason, on an otherwise completely stock exhaust. I figure it’s good for a bit more sound (but not too much) and will counteract some of the extra weight from the cloth top (bonus). This car’s exhaust is such an enigma, it seems to me. Like, when people are making exhaust changes to get more induction noise… well,… I just don’t know what to do with that, except to accept it for what it is — no V8 grunt to be had, so just deal with it.

Update: sorry to give everyone blue balls...but he's not selling it...chose to hold onto it. last time he was asking $4500...same for sale post from last year.
