Repurpose the spatial audio button?

A bit off-topic but what does the spatial audio even do? I can hear that it changes something but I can't really put my finger on what's being changed.

Thanks for the explanation. Kinda sounds like bullshit. How does it create the impression of a larger passenger compartment? And if it improves the stereo effect why don't they just have it been on all the time, rather than activated by the button?

IIRC it’s worse for mono content, so you’re supposed to toggle it off for that.
