Trunk Open indicator on after installing CSL trunk

I recently put on a Status Gruppe CSL style trunk that doesn’t include the handle/electronic switch to open the trunk. I’m assuming the trunk light is lit on the dash, since the plug that would usually connect to that handle, is left unhooked. I noticed that the interior trunk lights that light up when the trunk is open, also don’t turn on anymore. Does anyone have any input?

Does the trunk unlock button inside the car function? Are you sure you have the wiring connection for the key lock in the trunk installed correctly?

The signal for the open/closed trunk as well as the interior trunk lights I believe is in the trunk lid and not the chassis, I would double check all connections.

The button inside doesn’t work, I’m gonna take everything apart again tomorrow and recheck everything. I’ll make sure to check the wires for the lock
