Looks like Dinan bought an e46 M3 for R&D

    🤔

Interested to see what comes of this. Their e46 line has always seemed extremely half assed compared to, say, their e39 M5 line.

Curious to see the results without Steve at the helm.

Hmm, wonder what direction they are going here. Performance, asthetics, etc., cool to see this in any event.

If they can redo their muffler without dummy tips on driver side and polished tips instead of black, it would be a pretty solid option vs other aftermarket exhaust. Weight is fair at 39lbs and prefer straight cut tips vs slant tips on SS. Sound is good too, not too loud.

Meh... once I saw their repackaged Elder coils, with some colors, I was done.

They know the drill. Need continued support for what is now "God's Chariot". (e30) is still in the stable, but I imagine He's DDing the e46.

Dinan said in the comments that they won't be pursuing anything supercharger related

that probably means we're going to get underwhelming mods considering their M.O. (50 state legal stuff only)

APR bought an E46 M3 to develop on.

                      Not Dinan lol

I can't see anything super useful developing from this. Happy to be wrong.

What is everyone's wish list (besides a slight update to the existing muffler)?

If you think Turner went downhill after ECS bought it, I wouldn't get my hopes up for this. "Driven Performance Brands, a portfolio company of Sentinel Capital Partners, designs, manufactures, and markets high-performance aftermarket products under iconic brands including APR, B&M Racing and Performance, Dinan, Flowmaster, Hurst Shifters and Hurst Driveline Conversions."

M3forum pushed the E46 M3 platform more than DINAN ever did. If fact in the early days, Digi-Tec seemed to offer more exciting products such as a CF Airbox, tuning, cams, coilover suspension, brakes, BBS wheels etc., basically how most people mod today.

Ahhh, didn't realize APR and Dinan was under the same umbrella. I agree, I see zero coming out of this that is original or interesting, but as I said earlier, I'm happy to be wrong.
