Glad this thread was revived, really great information in here. I’m in the same boat as some of those who posted in here last year. Carbon black with paint around 5.5/10. Front bumper is peppered in rock chips, picking up a CF trunk which will also need to be sprayed. A little rust bubbling in the usual places by the rear quarter panel and a few small dent and dings as I’m approaching 300k on the dial. The thought of having a clean Uber high mileage clean E46 is appealing to me. As much as I’d love to paint her Velvet Blue, Techno Violet or Imperial Blue Metallic money is definitely an object so the blend/paint correction option is where in leaning. I can find the right shop to do the job properly. My question is since the front bumper needs to be resprayed anyway would it be better to just buy a new primed bumper or prep the one that’s on the car?

Depends on condition of your bumper other than paint ofc. I would buy euro unless your bumper is structurally pretty perfect. Congrats on 300k! I got an m50 to 300k on one clutch no eng work (other than s50 cams) before parting the car out.
