Anthracite Birch Trim

So, how hard is it to find this trim? I understand it was an individual option, so not exactly common.

I have been looking at trim to replace the beat up trim in my 02 and I do like wood. I kind of like the natural birch on a black interior, but I also like the Anthracite Birch.

Any leads?

Extremely hard. Probably the rarest of all trims. Your best bet is UK e-bay or other European sources of used parts as a lot more cars had individual options in that part of the world vs NA. I’ve seen some around on ebay UK but that was years ago…

That's pretty much what I thought.

I am probably going to have to piece a set together. I think the door pulls/arm rests are going to be the hardest to find.

the door pieces also crack often, most of the driver side pieces are broken. Not sure why they are so fragile…

Sounds like it's something I will probably not spend to much time and money tracking down lol. Maybe if I find a set I'll snag it but I'm not going to focus exclusively on. Might just grab a brand new set of the black cube trim instead.

Why not a quality carbon fiber set? That’s what I’d do if it weren’t for the anthracite birch being original to the car.. still tempted to get a Karbonius set as it can always be sold for good money, this type of stuff doesn’t really depreciate if in good condition.

Yep Birch Anthracite is pretty much the rarest trim. I got lucky years back and picked up a complete set for $150. Best trim for the e46 imho

I did see both of those actually. The Cabrio set would be perfect but I understand the rear armrests are shorter then the coupe?

The Coupe set with the beige might work. How hard is it to seperate the top from the bottom on the armrests?

How are the prices on these sets?

Ya it might be weird but in my mind it combines the best worlds of wood and carbon fiber. You would think it was more popular as an individual item since it looks so good.
