Last entry before I go to bed. It is an HOUR past my bed time which is 2PM EST. I wake up at 10:15 PM for my night shift.
Progress? Hard to tell. I FINALLY can start the car, but no gears at all. ZERO. Just N. And with the key in ign., the SMG will not shift from S to D. That can be done in accessory position only. What a fracking mess.
Tomorrow we will PULL the supposedly good GPS out and install the recent acquisition of a more likely working GPS.
It came off a 75K LOW mileage car throwing no codes. So he says.
Hey, it could be something totally different, BUT, I had a working SMG when we started. Diagnosis was an INTERMITTANTLY bad GPS. It would frap and go to default, 2,5 and 6. But I could still drive to work.
A few days later the SMG would work PERFECTLY. All gears. It HAD to be the GPS.
Maybe my guy made a mistake when he replaced the two detent springs. IDK. Need to check EVERY connection.
