    Touch up paint

Looking to fix a number of rock chips that have accumulated on my 2004 Alpine White M3 over the years.

I've seen some recommendations for Dr. ColorChip. Also noticed that Turner sells OEM paint.

What's the best touch up paint to use?

Dr color chip is best, even if you use it like regular touch up (as I do, with toothpick) instead of their method. Their method is best for front rash on fenders/hoods and should be done before a respray on a car with all original paint.

You all need to start using a fine line paint tool. No more toothpicks or brushes. This is the most precise thing ever to touch up chips. Go on amazon and search for 'fine line paint pen.'. Put some touch-up paint into thr reservoir, and gravity will draw the paint to the tip. Tap that tip on whatever chips you have. Very very precise and no blobs of paint.

What problems am I having using a toothpick?

Most chips are small and roundish, so you just need a little dab. The tool you linked looks best for a long deep scratch?
