Need help mating driveshaft to transmission

I just finished reinstalling my engine and trans last night. Today i tackled the shifter linkages and got ready to attach the driveshaft.

I unbolted the center support bearing and slid the driveshaft sleeve into the transmission flange. Bolted the CSB back up only to notice that the driveshaft flange was half an inch from the Guido that's attached to the transmission.

Has anyone run into this issue before. I'm done for tonight but when I get the chance, I'm going to see if unbolting the transmission crossmember will close the gap. Not very confident tho.

The tranny is anchored to the engine, not to the crossmember, so this won't change a thing.
The long driveshaft is a 2-piece shaft so you should let the shaft extend at the center with the spline coupling sliding out.
