I think the e39 530i (which I think it actually was) may be BMW's best overall car... and there's no many nice ones left, because they're so damn good at driving 300,000+ miles with minimal effort.

Sounds like you're ok which is the most important, along with the E46 M3. Can't say the same for your E39 but at least she did her job in protection.

I really wanted one of these but as you said, no clean ones left even when I was looking four years ago. The M5 I got instead is a pretty sweet compromise though. Much better and more special in some ways, little bit worse in others.

Seems like the BMW turning left while truck going straight out at intersection when signal lights just changed, based on the twisted metal.

BMW going straight on green light. Explorer making left hand turn in front of BMW driver "explorer" did not see BMW driver.
BM driver" me "not happy how could you not see me at 10:30 in the morning on a broad bright day in a black car?
