The hex hole is the same. However, going to the Z4m units means that you would lose the reinforcement undertray that the 3rd mounting point on the e46m3 lollipop gets you. And as mentioned, they are different diameters (60 vs 66).

Agree that stock rubber FCABs are best for e46m3. Though I press poly units for the XI, poly is not recommended for e46m3. Plenty of folks have seen heat-related failures due to proximity to the exhaust headers.
If the hex hole is the same, then the non-m upgraded to a larger diameter size for more rubber/damping, then z4m took the non-m upgrade and offset the hole for more caster to upgrade steering feel?
This looks like it may actually be a good update for e46's but maybe e36's too if the control arm hex hole is the same.

update: chatGPT says e36 hex hole is 18mm while e46 and z4m hex hole is 22mm.

I was only speaking to the z4m and e46 hex holes being the same. Quite possible it’s different for e36

Correct me if I'm wrong but the post you've shared is referring to the exact same Z4M bushings that are at the center of discussion of this thread? Also, are you seriously using chatGPT to challenge the info provided by the members who have extensive experience with this? LOL...
