Whats up everyone! So I had a k bus issue that decided to appear when I went to put the top down. Top went about 4" up from the windshield then stopped working. had to get it back down manually and then started to dive in and see what was wrong. put the top down manually and back up manually to see if I can reset it. no blinking lights of any kind. red light comes on when you hold the button to use the top. but not working top. then found other issues on the car, turn signals, fog lights, high beams not showing on dash, couldn't move side mirrors, steering wheel controls not working. Did K-Bus reset and everything works.
So now Top works but all I get is a crazy winding sound from the windshield top motors. Im thinking the plastic latch is broken. I re enforced it already a few years ago but might have given out all together. Didn't have time to check today.
But if that's the case, I cant seem to find anywhere that sells the OEM latch lever with the plastic block. I see ebay has some 3rd party ones. Anyone have any luck with those? Anyone know where I can get the oem latch and plastic block? without buying a complete unit which is crazy expensive.
Attached is a link to the write up to re enforce these plastic latches im talking about. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks a bunch.
