    If what Hassan loaded on my car is 90-95%, I can't see spending the $ or effort to get the last 5-10%. It's that good. Told him my mods (full SSV1 63.5mm system), and done. Love it. In fact, for as much as I want to do the Karb intake, I just don't have the energy to do the work and get it sorted at this point in time. Or maybe I'm just overwhelmed by what's involved. Either way, very pleased, and now it's on to the next thing (trims, brakes).

      If you have the MSS54HP, it is much easier than you think. CSL airbox and SS V1 is a very common setup.

        Alright fellas. Only took 5 months to get this sorted but the car is running incredible now!

        I have now had 4 tunes on this car, post the install of the super sprint headers/exhausts and air box. 4! I finally reached out to Paul at PCS, as I hadn't tried his, rented dyno time at a shop in CT and had Paul tune remotely. Paul's tune absolutely transformed this car. I didn't capture a dyno pre mods install, but the lower line is another tuners tune (not just canned, done on a dyno). See how I suspected there was an issue at lower revs..

        I know 316 to the wheels is nothing crazy, as a lot of guys are around 330 with these mods(some even a bit higher), but I'm really happy with how this runs now. I ran this car stock for a decade and this car now feels so much better at every rpm. Night and day difference. I was going completely back to stock if Paul didn't resolve this last week. Also drone nearly entirely gone, just ever so slightly more than stock.

        One strange issue I've noticed, and who knows exactly when it started occurring, but sometime this summer (mods were installed in April). With the air conditioning on, I get fluctuations at idle. It's never immediately upon first start of day, but rather after driving the car, turning off, and getting back in. With the AC on, revs will bump up and down 50-75rpms, somewhere between 900-1000. And after a bit of driving, the idle will be smooth again. Anyone else experience this? Probably makes sense to start a new thread but did a quick Google and looks like it could be related to the MSS54HP. If it's normal and there's no underlying issue that needs to be fixed I'll just deal with it.

        Anyway thanks for all the help in this thread, and in general on the forum/pms. I was swearing off ever modding a car again before getting this resolved. Now I'm thinking how can i get a little more power . Dyno graph and pics attached after paint correction/ceramic coating. 188k miles on this now.​

          Glad you got it all dialed in, the AC fluctuating idle is normal, that is your AC compresser clutch turning on/off as needed.

          Is this something that you didn't notice before the modifications/tuning?

            Really? I've had the car for 10 years and never noticed it before the mods. Its revs about 50-75rpms, up and down, for a couple minutes at a stop light. If I turn the AC off it stops.

              I wonder if you might be low on freon?

                Maybe youre paying more attention to the little things now that you have all your mods done? Perhaps it was always doing this?

                Good call on the shop in CT. I know some shops frown upon using an outside tuner other than the shop itself.

                  that's definitely because your (proper) tune is preventing you from "lugging" the engine at lower RPMs

                  great to see you fought through the problems and got everything sorted!

                    Is that dip around 3k RPM typical with the CSL air box? Is it noticeable while driving?

                      To be clear the red lines are current. The blue are what the prior tune was. The prior tune was a nightmare from 2-3k. Extremely noticeable there, slow, drone, loud. It runs great now, feels strong at every rpm

                        Understood. Looking at the red lines: the torque has a recognizable dip at ~3k RPM. The HP as well, but less so. Is that typical for a 100% stock motor and tune? I’m relatively new to the S54 so this the questions. Thanks!

                          See that on the torque, def less so on HP. Im not sure, it feels awesome though. Will let the experts here opine.
