    3.85 ring and pinion swap

Just curious if anyone is running the 3.85 gears from a e90 manual M3. I plan on swapping to them when I pull the rear end out for subframe reinforcement.

Yes, I am running that setup since 2 years when I had the diff rebuild. No noticeable difference to the 3.91, but cheaper to source.

I've found a 3.91 is great at nothing, ok at everything. It does provide a bump in acceleration, or at least feels like it. Also causes extra shifts at all the wrong times, right before a braking zone.

I think a 3.85 will be a little better for track use. I'm going back to the 3.73 I had at some point. Just not excited about swapping the R&P again.
