Vanos line bail out near Akron/Mid-Ohio?

Pretty confident I blew the high pressure Vanos line driving from PittRace to Mid-Ohio last night. Car is currently sitting at a dealer, but the holiday means I can't get parts.

Anyone got a spare line in the area? Willing to drive some and pay as necessary.

Haven't been able to climb under to fully diagnose, but blowing smoke out on the highway and oil all over the passengers side frame rail, I'm reasonably confident. For some reason I thought my car had the V2 line, but looking at some pictures it appears I didn't.

Crap. I'd likely bet that your dealer will tell you 2-3 days out on the part. Maybe you can rig a line or just replace the hose part as a temp measure? IIRC, the banjo bolts are M10? A banjo end or a M10 to hose barb fitting should allow you to make a hose. You can use a pinch clamp to maybe keep the hose on. Assuming you have tools.

I'd probably plan to call BW in the morning and have them overnight a hose.

So apparently I'm near ECS here, I know they have an aftermarket line as well. They're closed for the holiday, but I'm hoping I can grab something from them tomorrow. Finger's crossed!

FCP has the OE one in stock allegedly, so I ordered that to the dealer as well for some redundancy.

The vanos pressure is too high for any reliable with a spliced hose.

No shit. It’s a temporary fix.

Coming at you live from the parking lot at the dealer 😂

Line is definitely split, ECS allegedly has the part. Going to pick it up at 11am, chuck it in, and see if I can't get a little bit of track time after all.

Definitely a V1 line, and it looks like the lower tab broke, causing the line to rub on something, leading to catastrophic failure.
