    Rear Driveshaft CV Joint Gaskets

Hello guys, today i am reaching out for help installing the rear drive shaft CV Joint to Differential Flange. I just finished a subframe reinforcement. I need to know what gasket should be used between the Rear Differential input flange and the CV Joint. I ordered two kinds of gaskets, one thick pink gasket with sticky adhesive on one side. The other is a very flat thin metal gasket and has a gel like coating. I do not have that cap or plate that goes between that RealOEM.com shows. Also the FCP driveline video skips right over the part where the gaskets are installed on the CV Joint. I replaced the entire driveshaft with a new BMW unit about 10k ago and when i took it apart to do the subframe plates the cv joint was very stiff and felt bad, so i ordered a new one and want to make sure it goes in correctly. I appreciate any help.

I'm guessing you're referring to 15 and 21 in the photo above. When I completed my subframe reinforcement I replaced 21 (pink and sticky adhesive) between the end of the driveshaft and differential input. I did not replace 15 in the photo above, hopefully that was not an oversight.

I have a 2002 M3 coupe and did not have that metal gasket (part # 15) when I replaced the gasket (part # 21) a few months ago. Maybe it was included in later models or a previous owner/shop removed it or never replaced it at one point.

Mr_Metro is correct, the gasket you are referring to is number 21 in the RealOEM diagram (26111229503).

I also did not have the cap (20) as pictured (but not listed); can anyone else confirm whether it's actually used or not?
