Help me with Apex ARC-8 18" tyre sizes, driveabilty and color options

The car is only driven on weekends and is on stock suspension.

    I'm considering:

    Front: 18x8.5 ET35 with 235/40-18 tires
    Rear: 18x9.5” ET22 with 265/35-18 tires

    But I'd prefer:

    Front: 18x9” ET30 with 245/40-18 tires
    Rear: 18x10” ET25 with 275/35-18 tires

First problem is that a 275/35-18 isn't really available in any decent tyres here is the land of Aus; will a 265/35-18 look silly/stretched on a 10" wheel or have any other negative effects?

Is there any downsides to going to the 1/2" wider set driveability wise?

I'm torn between, Anthracite, Hyper Black and Hyper Silver; car is Carbon Black... any one have any pictures of their car in carbon black with any of these color options?

I would recommend 17x9 +30 using spacers with 255/40/17 personally.

That being said, 18x9.5 +22 squared fits perfectly and works well with either 245/275 staggered or 255, 265,275 width squared.

For stock suspension, I'd go with the less aggressive 8.5/9.5. Slightly lowered and maxed out front stock camber, the 9/10 setup would look better. 265 is the lower limit on a 10" wheel. The edge of the tire will still protect the lip of the wheel, so it is a very mild, stock like stretch. Keep in mind, BMW put a 255 on a 9.5" wheel with a good bit of stretch.

IMO, silver on a dark color. Hyper black if you want it a bit more stealthy. Anthracite I'd reserve for track wheel you don't feel like cleaning lol.

Have you considered 8.5/9.5 with stock tire sizes (225/45/18 and 255/40/18)? IMO it will look better on stock suspension, plus you get more sidewall, they're probably cheaper, and theoretically better drivability on the street.

I'm a fan of hyper silver, but it's your car, mate. There are about a zillion pictures of black M3s with ARC-8s.

ID:	223536Currently running 18x9.5 et 35 on 265/35. Love the fitment. Running 12mm rear spacer and 3mm up front to clear coilovers. On oem suspension this spacer isn’t needed. Stock strut mounts pushed to max chamber. For some additional clearance. Front is perfect fitment, no fender modification. Rear has tons of space and will likely up it to a 15 mm spacer soon. Definitely go sliver, dark cars need the contrast, hyper silver or go for the forged one and get the brushed. Can’t go wrong.

Looks like it's going to be the 8.5/9.5 option.

Can anyone tell me the stock lug bolt thread pitch - M12x1.5 or M14x1.25?

I'm running 18x9.5 ET22 square on 265x35. The rear doesn't require a spacer and is flush, but the fronts require quite a bit of negative camber. I'll switching mine to Et35 in the near future and adding the spacer.
