M3 Relocks Itself

Happened again and finally posting on it. At times my 06 relocks itself. After some research I think there is a setting that if a door is not opened after unlocking the car relocks.

Other owners seeing this, and can it be coded out? TIA.

Most BMWs have the option to have the car relock itself after 2 minutes after unlock if none of the doors are opened within that time frame. I have this feature enabled on both my e53 X5 and e86 Z4MC. It can be coded in/out.

There is a setting you can change using ncs expert that can auto lock after x minutes.

Also…. Something I’ve noticed on my car, my remote is shot, but every so often the lock button seems jammed up on the remote and will randomly lock the car.
