    Valve Spring Compressor

Few different options here, trying to figure out what will work for the S54 and get ahead of quarantine. Will have the motor out to do the head gasket and will take the opportunity to do a full valve job.

Anyone have advice on what tools/compressors to use to remove and reinstall valve spring keepers?

Can't remember the brand but I use this style when working on the cylinder head in-car. I wedged an extra nut in the adapter that screws onto the stud, and adjust for best leverage for compressing the springs.

I just bought one and it works perfectly. https://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/805025/10002/-1

I'm assuming youre going to be removing the valves with the head off the block, but just in case you do it with the head still bolted down, make sure you pressurize the cylinder before attempting to remove anything.
