Sigh. Just realized most of the pictures I had for this thread weren't showing up. Hopefully fixed, now...

There should be 13 photos in my OP.

this is one of those parts where, as a general car enthusiast, it makes you want to buy the car its for just so you can install that part
definitely brings me back to the JDM golden era, where parts coming out for cars were more coveted than the cars themselves

        Ha, so true.

Reminds me of this for the Mazda RX-8 (interestingly also a shock tower reinforcement): https://www.nengun.com/knight-sports...neycomb-carbon

I still have a broken in half Mugen EK9 lip in my garage lol

This thing is cool. I feel like this is definitely one of those "final stage" mods at $5k+

And it's still worth 3K lol

I actually have almost the full Ek9 Mugen catalog in the garage. Lip, Wing, MF8s, Twinloop, intake, header etc.... I'm just missing the cluster and valve cover, and I won't be spending 7K apiece on those tyvm lol

Gah, seems like I'm not going to be able to install this this weekend.

              Next weekend!

Is this mod reversible for future part out? I know adhesive is used, but perhaps the part that's glued on can be left on the car and reordered.

                  Interesting question. Will ask.

He said yes, he’d be willing to sell the epoxied on bit separately to allow the bar to be resold.

Meh, I’d much rather they optimize for function (as they did) then sacrifice that in the name of looking stock!

... and, subjectively, I think it's pretty great looking.

looks much more low key (and better) with the black end caps on the strut tower

That’s a cool looking part! I never got into Japanese cars, but I am starting to appreciate them. I see the current Civic type R in my future. Possibly.

I was trying to sell my wife on the new Integra Type S, but she just wouldn't go for it.
