    Has anyone installed AMX Recaros?

I watched the video Matt made on putting them into his E92, but my harness is totally different. I'm not sure where to plug in the heating wires from the AMX seats.

The drivers seats just has the upper and lower heating plugs, but the passenger seat has those two plugs, plus the occupancy sensor. I emailed Marek and he told me to move over my occupancy sensory from my original seats.

I was hoping there was a writeup or video somewhere.

The OE seat heater pads use a therminster to regulate their temps, which I believe the factory buttons need in order to function. I don't think there's going to be a plug and play solution here, without using the OE seat heater pads.

AMX actually uses OE pads. Allegedly this is all "plug and play". The dash buttons should work the heating elements.

Unfortunately Marek is in Poland and between time differences and language barriers, I'm not getting the clearest instructions lol

You need to replicate the original cable trees.
You need to check if Your car have got the seat modules - If yes - swap these from stock seats.

      no need for coding.

Ha.. in that case I don't remember. I used OE seat heater pads, and whatever was involved was obvious enough that I didn't think about it enough to have any memory of it. I would guess they somehow key into the main yellow plug.

          Pics?

Are you sure AMX is using original heating pads? If so it should be plug and play, if not it wont work as Obioban said. I installed a set of recaros last year and had to bypass the SZM wiring. The Recaro heating pads don't pull a ton of amperage so its not to hard to make it work if needed.

            Description off AMX's website -
The seats we offer are already equipped (if wished) with:
            – Brackets and Sliders
            – Custom Upholstery
            – Heating Pads (cooperates with factory buttons)
            – Airbags
Mounts and connections are Plug and Play, all fits directly.
This is the passenger seat. It has an extra plug, the one on the top left. That's the occupancy sensor that turns on and off the passenger airbag based on weight.

The two white plugs are the heating elements. I can only assume the black plug goes into the original yellow plug somehow. Watching Matt's video that I linked above, he pushed his cables into his old yellow harness, but mine isn't like that.

I'm guessing.... the white cables get plugged into each other.... the top left plug gets plugged into the occupancy sensor I move over from my old seat... the black plug somehow gets fitted into the yellow plug from my old seat.

I'm going to Bimmerinvasion this weekend so I won't get to play with it for a couple weeks. I guess I'm going to just have to figure it out lol.

You can disassemble the factory black plug and you slide the new connector back in then reconnect to the factory yellow plug.

i don’t have heated options so i can’t comment on that part.

That does not look like factory wiring to me, I would assume that is an aftermarket heating pad, not an original BMW.

*Edit, I read your post more closely now. I still think you probably have aftermarket pads in place as they would normally connect lower to upper but the wiring is GN/BN IIRC and a much different connector. I'm assuming from there reply and your message that they think these will work as is. IDK but I would think not.

Ok so, I think I figured it out. The original yellow harness on my old seat does come apart. I removed the plug out it that looks the same as the black plug on the AMX seats... that one was going to the OEM heating pads on the old seat. The white wires on the AMX seat do get plugged into each other, the occupancy sensor gets plugged into my old OS from my old seat, and all of that gets plugged into the yellow harness for the car. I'll post some pics once I get them installed and plugged in, I'm still waiting on Recaro to ship my rails.

Sorry, yes, you are correct, the big black squarish plug goes into the yellow connector. I was referring to the other plugs and whether the pads were original BMW.
