I want to get my rear glass replaced as one of the previous owners damaged the defroster grid but the dealer is quoting me nearly 2k. Does anyone know of any options to get an OEM glass replacement at a reasonable cost?

Many insurance companies cover glass without a deductible payment, or rate hit.
Don't know if the defroster grid would qualify.
... though if you want them to use OE Glass, I've found the only way to do it is to pay for the job out of pocket and then submit it for reimbursement-- if you go to them first, they'll push the shitty chinese glass on you.

I'd take it up with your insurance company first. Many consider glass a safety issue, and in some jurisdictions glass replacement without a deductible is mandated by law. Mine have always authorized me to use factory glass (Mercedes S Class and Audi, not this car).
YMMV, but you should at least try to get the bargaining power of the insurance carrier on your side. None of my glasses cost what the dealer would love to charge.
