    Schirmer non-projector headlights

After years of track and canyon abuse by stock headlights are all rock-chipped and ready for a refresh. I've seen some Schirmer cars with what look like non-projector headlights for both low and high beams and I'm liking that look. My car is primarily a track car now and I don't care all that much about how bright my headlights are. I found some headlights on FCP euro that seem to be the correct units but I want to make sure they are plug and play. Has anyone done this or does anyone have insight on what else I would need to make these work?

These are the units I have in mind:

This is the Schirmer car with the style i'd like to emulate:

I've done the reverse conversion, non-projector/halogen -> bi-xenon. The halogen lights will be plug and play, with a few caveats.

    1. You'll have some extra (unused) connectors for the xenon ballast and leveling motors that won't be used anymore.
    2. You'll need to get a halogen specific LCM (light control module, aka the light switch in your dash) and code it to your car. The xenon LCM will give you codes if it's controlling halogen lights. You can see the various halogen specific LCM part numbers on real OEM. You should be able to pick up a used one from a junkyard or eBay or whatever.

You don't need a halogen specific LCM. You just need to recode the original.

These are just stock halogens, tbone's car came like that because he couldn't afford xenons 馃槑

You can use any non-LCI coupe housing. IF using a sedan you just pop the lenses off and install your coupe deflectors (black trim inside) and lenses. Just be mindful of how your turn signals mount because some cars did use a clip vs bolt on version.

I just swapped halogens into my car last week, nice and light.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but how exactly does one recode the LCM?
