Ordered a pair two days ago. great price.
Not to highjack the post. Can someone please let me know if can run 17.5mm up front for a e46 m3 with ZCP on stock suspension without any rub?
Currently installing BBK 6 piston at the front and 4 piston in the rear. Front passenger with 15mm clear. But front driver with 15mm was hitting the caliper slightly. So i am hoping these 17.5mm will clear the front. Rear should be fine.

Hmmm - wonder if you've got something going on with the bracket you're using for the BBK. It should clear the same on both sides with 15mm. Never heard of someone having to run two different-sized spacers on the same axel.

If you have to use different size spacers on either side of the car, I would:

          1. Stop driving the car
          2. Find alternative routes than the Belt Parkway
          3. Get it looked at because that's not right.

Sorry for the confusion. I am planning to run 17.5mm on both left and right side.

            HAHA love the option 2.

As mentioned, i will be running the same 17.5mm on both axels. Just worrying if that make the wheels poke out too much.

If you factory 18s or other 18s the 996 calipers won't fit behind, the 15mm spacer for the front is needed. You can get away with 12.5mm but that’s not on sale. I do recommend adding some 10mms to the rear just to kind of match width and prevent that dartiness. Obviously spacers aren't the best choice however, they can be useful only when NEEDED. I wouldn't recommend otherwise.

i am running 19" OEM ZCP with 15mm front and 12mm rear before the BBK.
Front driver side is currently hitting caliper slightly(i am not driving the car. noticed that when i put the wheel back and did a spin while the car on jack). Passenger side is clear barely.
To make the question clear, do we generally need 17.5mm or bigger spacers to clear some Z17 Brembo (came off a Cayenne or Q7 i believe) calipers up front? And if so, will it rub with stock suspension?

Sorry for the confusion. Its my first attempt on the install of BBK.

You have some camber to play with with the stock suspension setup, so I believe you should be fine to run the 17.5mm. When you get alignment done, have them max out the stock camber in the front.

My question remains as you’ve restated what I initially read - it’s NOT rubbing on the passenger side with a 15MM spacer (albeit minimal clearance). You ARE scraping on the drivers side with 15MM spacer - is that correct?

I’d double check your work for the side that’s scraping. The left and right should be identical. The scraping you are experiencing is likely the rotor hitting the caliper or the rotor hitting the heat shield. Are you losing paint on the face of the caliper? Something is not right with the passenger side.

Retrofit kits are great when they’re done but the install is a major PITA and it’s a lot of little issues like this. I had scraping in the rear with my 4 piston Porsche brakes and it ended up being the metal from the bottom of the caliper hitting the rotor. Had to machine it done to create clearance.

Double check your work on the drivers side.

Much appreciated with the explain on camber information. i will definitely look into it when i do alignment.

As far as the scrapping on driver side goes, the face of the caliper(only at the end of the caliper) is hitting my inner wheel spokes. So I am to make the wheel spin on stand, it will make a circular mark on my newly refinish wheel. Both sides are on 15mm spacers.

i could have grinded down a bit on the caliper, but its brand new painted. Sad to modify the calipers at the moment. Unless i have to going forward.

Spacers came in and installed yesterday.
they helps clear the calipers as i wish.
and the front with 17.5mm(from TURNER) isn't bad.

Nice - what are your tire specs? What size are you running in the rear?
