I’m trying to remember the details as this was about 2 years ago.
I believe I used one of the full dumps from the github directory that contains all of the bins. I couldn’t find an exact match to my dme so I just made sure the last 4 numbers before the letter in the file name matched my dme. After that I flashed the tune and I was good to go.
Make sure you check the use fullbin at the bottom of the window.

I was able to get my DME working again by flashing it with a full dump using MSSFlasher. If you try to use a partial you'll keep getting error messages.
I tried to flash with a full just now and no luck

You should be able to load up your old tune and code it with a tool that comes with INPA.

I virginized mine…sounded way too tempting to not try it. 🤣🤣🤣

Yea I think WinKFP is your friend here. I was able to recover a buddy's ECU with WinKFP after a tune flash failed and the ECU wouldn't respond to anything.

    Forgot to Mention*

A friend had suggested the idea of using WinkFP to flash the full program file and then flash the partial bin, but after trying for several hours to get WinkFP to cooperate with me I just gave up.

I just haven't had enough time to sit down and learn how to setup and use WinkFP.

  • Exploring Potential Solutions for DME After Virginizing with MSSFlasher

    Hey everyone,

I recently, unintentionally, virginized my DME while using MSS Flasher.

Now, I'm aware that there are methods like using a BDM harness, bench flashing, or sending it off to places like Kassel.

However, I'm just curious if anyone was able to achieve success by themselves.

Hassan (HTE) mentioned that he could fix the issue, but I'm not entirely ready to buy a tune at this exact moment. Before committing to that, I wanted to explore if there are other viable options out there.

Has anyone else successfully addressed a similar situation without using the above-mentioned methods? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for any insights!
