SMG squeaking sound when shifting with car off

I am posting this here for one main reason: survey people in case someone had the exact same thing and found what it was.

SMG does some noise that resembles old rusty springs in a porch swing. This "squeaking" can be heard only when the car is off. The car drives fine, no codes or anything like that. Should I be saving for an SMG fix soon?

    Hi There - A question:

To your knowledge has the clutch ever been replaced?

To me this sounds like its missing they heavy duty grease used on the clutch fork, input shaft sleeve, and slave cylinder nipple. If your clutch was replaced, it could be a possibility.

Also, sounds like a bit of air in the system

    Hope this helps.

Hey, thanks for the info. The clutch has not been replaced. The SMG system hasn't been repaired lately either. The only thing I could report from a first look is the SMG fluid is above the MAX, but that's probably unrelated 🤷‍♂️. Could it be the throw-out bearing of the clutch going bad?

Doesn't sound like TOB to me. Could be clutch fork or pivot pin needs grease.

I would get INPA setup and do a bleed just to see if it helps. I find myself bleeding the system before each track event just for peace of mind.

I'm not surprised about the little low noise when the slave and the actuator move under hydraulic pressure.
