You can also tweak the seat eater values, thiugh I forget how at this point. I found I was never using level two, so I made my level two the factory level three and made my level three more intense.
Did all this back when I still had stock seats, but sine I used e46 seat heater pads in my seats... still applied equally.

Someone else mentioned that, or maybe it was you in another thread, but mine seem to work fine.
I'm not measuring exact temps or times, but I don't notice anything different than stock

+1 this is my experience as well.Originally posted by Bry5on View Post
But they don't heat up as fast as the stock ones
And I found the heat set point targets to be off as well.

Ask Marek what he does.Originally posted by trancenation View Posthas anyone been successful at wiring the recaro heaters with the OEM harness? i know some vendors make a plug and play retrofit, but was wondering if there was a DIY out there.
My seats work with the factory heat buttons.

They won’t work properly, the electrical impedance is fundamentally incorrect. I retrofitted mine with e39 heated seat elements for factory like operation (OEM button) and quick heating. Prior to that I’d attempted to use the recaro/aftermarket style heaters.Originally posted by trancenation View Posthas anyone been successful at wiring the recaro heaters with the OEM harness? i know some vendors make a plug and play retrofit, but was wondering if there was a DIY out there.

I wired a resistor in so that the passenger airbags will always trigger, then ended up coding it to the same behavior anyway, just to take the guesswork out. Retrofitting the sensor into the CS looked like it could have been tricky and unreliable, so I opted to just always trigger the airbag and delete the sensor. No faults.Originally posted by trancenation View Postwill there be any sensor faults in the seats that we need to program out? if i were to get CS's i would intend on having the passenger seat sensor installed. etc.

I would like to test these out sometime. Looks really compact and streamlined.Originally posted by Bry5on View Post

Fantastic Bry5on. Since you're the same exact size as me and I plan on moving towards the CS shortly, I'll be utilizing this custom bracket if/when you make it available! Great work man.Originally posted by Bry5on View Post

I've had to in the past, design my own seat mount using steel/aluminum purchased at Home Depot. Luckily the OEM brackets from my 1986 Toyota Corolla mounted to my custom base to fit some Brides. I'm a bit worried I'll be doing the same because I am also looking at the CS's and thus far being 6'2, 200lbs, 34" waist, there doesn't seem to be a good solution.
Besides custom building a set Bry5on, you don't have any other leads? May be leaning toward the Nogaro's if push comes to shove which would be a shame because I just love Recaro's and used them in a lot of my previous builds.

Basically you pull the covers off and most is revealed. I’m not sure about the seat retract, but here’s a photo with the foam removed where you can see the cable routing (foam just sits in place after the covers come off).Originally posted by George Hill View PostDoes anyone know of a good guide to disassemble these seats? I've got a clients car here with Sportsters and the tilt feature is not working, looks like a cable came unclipped somewhere. I'm reluctant to start prying on plastic without knowing the repercussions on a clients car, lol.
Thanks, George
1) unbolt 4 Allen fasteners to remove seat bottom
2) remove trims and pry away seat back cover (see video https://youtu.be/DNThViXutg4)
3) lift off foam

Highly recommend you try the Swiss cheese mounts (VAC, Macht Schnell) if you're looking for lower seat height. Even with sliders they sit a sportster cs significantly lower than stock
