I also had a clunck with the old driveshaft, probably due to worn bearings. It's gone now.

I know it's only the one account and probably not much of a mod for the faint hearted. But so far seems pretty promising.

I feel like we are going to see a bunch of these for sale under the heading of "sold the car, never installed, my loss is your gain".... lol

Ah good info, I might buy one for me as well to put it on stock. Mine has been behaving weird lately, having issues to put it into reverse when the car is warm.

Length is the same as the transmission itself is also the same, but less top clearance due to the shift actuator.
I do not know myself if they will clear, since I have a manual.

I posted my measurements earlier in this thread. These are exactly what my shaft is. They also cover what the company had in their system for stock driveshaft length.

    This is who made mine:
Fertigung und Reparatur von Gelenkwellen für KFZ und Industrie. Unser Ersatzteilservice für Nutzfahrzeuge ist rund um die Uhr für Sie da.

If anyone else wants to get theirs made in Europe, shoot me a pm, they still have my data on file, so they can make an exact replica.

Understood, appreciate the explanation. I guess the real concern would be high speed based on your experience with incorrect lengths and what better place to test than Germany if driven on the bahn.

I'm not going to lie, I have zero confidence in this mod still.
I mean he did the exact same thing but his shop did the measurements correctly the first time, I had to get my driveshaft modified a 2nd time. I had no issues or vibrations until 80+ mph and they went back and shortened it slightly. They told me if the length is off even a tiny bit it will cause vibration.

I still have't tested out the new revision but I'm fairly confident it works fine, especially now that a counterpart in Europe has tested it for a decent amount of miles.
